A power cut is when there is no electricity in your home. It was caused by a problem in a transformer in the local power station. A power station is where they generate electricity. I managed to get my PC working. Not sure why it worked , but i disconnected the PSU from the motherboard , reconnected it and it has been fine since.

Thanks for letting us know you solved your problem 4 days after you were asked for more information. The reason for the question is that often when there is a power outage this is accompanied by a surge or a "brown-out" either of which can damage powersupplies and other components. One hopes that you had the mains power disconnected while you were unplugging/replugging the PSU from the motherboard.
I too find it unusual that this alone would correct the problem and suspect there is possibly an undetected fault in that connector. Did you examine the wires while you had that 20/24 pin and 4 pin connectors unplugged? I recall having one that had a poor connection that would result in random shutdowns and eventually discovered the bad connection by finding the scorch marks on the connector.
