Okay, so my computer monitor will not turn on I've had my computer for about five years it's a HP Pavilion a1477c and the monitor is a HP vs19e Flat Panel Monitor. I'm not sure what happend I was using my computer one night and I turned it off and when I woke up to use the computer the monitor just wouldn't turn on. I'm pretty sure that there is something wrong with the monitor because I hooked up the tower to my t.v downstairs and it worked just fine. When the monitor is connected to the tower it just turns on normaly and everything except for the monitor.
Simple test. Connect the monitor to power but not to the PC. Try to turn it on. If you do not get any on-screen-display with "Signal out of range" and/or there are no LED lights showing then the internal powersupply has failed.
