System is stuck in a boot loop, "Media Test Failure, Exiting PXE Rom" Once that flashes on screen, it keeps flashing this for about 6 times, then shuts off. What could be the problem?

That error usually means a failed hard drive. After booting from the hard drives fails the system will attempt to boot from the next device in line which is usually the network. As that is possible only under very specific conditions that too fails and gives the error message given.

You can check out these ideas from HP.

Take note if the power light is flashing when you turn it on and how many times.

Hard drive failure is another

You can press F10 (I think) to enter the bios, and see if they have hard drive diagnostic utility built in. If not you could download the Seatools for dos ISO, make a bootable cd. Boot to the cd on startup and run a short generic test, if it passes do a long test.

To err is human but to really screw things up, you need a computer!
