Solved HP laptop Keys not working after spilled coffee & cleaned

July 16, 2013 at 16:57:55
Specs: Windows 7, ?
Still not able to use those keys - not working after cleaning all of them. Is there a way to take the whole keyboard out on an HP laptop to clean better?
Or is this going to cost me a lot to fix?

what is the model of your HP laptop? not just model, but the entire model number. Some laptops (very few however) have built-in keyboards that can't be replaced.
If you have a spare USB keyboard plug it in and use that; otherwise you can pick a cheap 10$ one up from Walmart.

your motherboard may have been damaged, but, if it's only the keyboard, it usually can easily be replaced by you at a minimal cost for the keyboard. Like was said, WHAT is the model number of the laptop?

if it's only the keyboard, otherwise, the laptop works fine. Thanks for the help.

Thank you so much - found and ordered a new keyboard for less than twenty five dollars. Fantastic ~ No idea why I didn't think to Google it. Duh. Maybe didn't realize I could buy a new keyboard. ???
