Solved HP (dv2910us) dv2700 Battery

Specs: Windows 10 Pro, 1800/3000
hello, I have a question regarding the newly installed battery, I just installed a battery 5 days ago and even though it charges up and holds a charge for 5 hours, the system is telling me to recalibrate.
I have run the drain through BIOS running the battery until the system would shut down 0%.
Plugged back in and let it fully charge to 100%.
I have done this already a total of 4 times and I still show the same issue.
(1) Battery test cancelled.
(2) adapter test cancelled.
(3) needs to be calibrated even though the battery is functioning correctly.
Again, it takes almost 5.5 hours to fully drain and 2.5 hours to fully charge.
Could this be a BIOS thing or is it the new battery.
The old battery has had it, It will charge but won't hold over 4 minutes.
Can anyone help, thank you.

Chances are that you are using an aftermarket battery and through some subtle difference between it and the factory battery the system is not calibrating to it correctly. I am not sure if there is anything you can do unless you are using a factory certified battery and then contact HP about the issue and possibly returning the battery under warranty.
Others may have other suggestions so pop back occasionally to see.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

thank you again fingers, I am just going to disregard as I used it for 4.5 hours and it still had 33% left on the charge.
I do have an answer on this wifi 4965AGN, I bought another mini card (Ult. N-6300) it is not worth the money as it is rejected by the mainboard. this was a waste.
I will try to get my money and just get an exterior card.
