Solved HP 933 and HP933XL cartridges

Specs: Windows 10, AMD A6 - 6GB
Can anyone tell me if an HP933 cartridge (rated 330 pages) can hold the same amount of ink as a HP933XL cartridge (rated 825 pages). They both appear to have the same measurements so I'm thinking that I would be able to put in as much ink in the HP933 as the HP933XL holds??

Being that printer manufacturers make their money from ink sales I would guess that both are the same cartridge. The chip on the cartridge identifies what capacity the cartridge is so that would be the only difference. The chip also identifies if it is a GENUINE replacement or not.

If you compare the cost of the standard cartridge per sheet with the cost of the extended print cartridge I am sure you will see it is more expensive to use standard cartridges.

It even gets worse. When you buy a new printer these days it comes with TRIAL size cartridges which print far less sheets than the standard cartridge. Still look like the other cartridges.
Are you thinking of refilling cartridges yourself?

I've used HP printers forever and use a local company to refill the cartridges when empty. Saying that, I refill only three times and then dispose of the cartridge. My latest HP printer (model 6700) uses a different style of cartridge and am unable to find someone to fill it now. Guess I'll have to start buying new ones now. Thanks for your comments.

New printers take up to 6 months for enough of them to be in the system to be recycled and for the refillers to get suitable replacement chips for the cartridge so they say not genuine instead of empty when you plug them in.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
