Specs: Windows XP, 1.73Ghz/1GB
Is there some way I can upgrade the video on my old 2002 desk pc... only 220 watt power supply.
Agp4x slot. (Compaq Presario 6029US, Nvidia Gerforce 2 integrated/ 32mb (is supporting 1600x900, 32 bit/color, with flat panel LCD), AMD Athlon 2100+ 1.73 GHz, 1G RAM, 1dvd-rw, 1 cd-rw, 1 HD, 1 usb 2.0 pci card; unplugged floppy. Tested my spare Nvidia Geforce 2MX/32mb, which gave lower video resolution. Problem in finding a solution is the power supply, which can't be upgraded due to a proprietary 4 prong plug not find on oem power supplies.

I believe geforce 7600gs will run fine with 220w psu, it use 27.2w(2.3A) underload.

"Tested my spare Nvidia Geforce 2MX/32mb, which gave lower video resolution"

Lower than what? The available resolutions are usually dictated by the driver.

An FX5500 would be quite a bit better than a GeForce2. The 7600GS is much better but finding one may be difficult unless you're willing to buy used.
