Suggest you get an external drive. Simplest solution. Only other option might be to get a large capacity drive, use another system to clone the original drive onto the new big disk. You would need to beware of hidden recovery partitions and make sure the entire disk was cloned.

"f700" is a generic model number. There were dozens of models in the F700 series. It would help to know which one you have. For example - F730US. It should be on a label on the underside of the laptop.

"it works fine for me aside from the low storage memory of 120gb"

Memory & storage are 2 different things. If the laptop only has "504MB" of memory & you're running Vista, you should upgrade to 2GB. As for hard drive capacity, you can either upgrade the internal HDD, buy an external HDD for storage, or do both. However, if you've checked hard drive prices lately, they've more than doubled due to the flooding in Thailand & the prices are expected to stay high for the next 3-6 months. If you're concerned that 120GB isn't enough storage space or if the drive is almost full, it probably means there's an awful lot of garbage on the system. The 1st thing you should do is purge the drive of old files & unneeded programs.
