Solved How to stop pop-up ads in Chrome

Specs: Windows 10, 8gig
Recently an anti-virus organization have started advertising in the lower right hand corner of the browser accompanied by an irritating chime. How can I stop them??

uninstall & get a another antivirues ;)

and run a few cleaners too...

ccleaner, malwarebytes, adwcleaner

And when you install anything off the web use manual/custom mode; not the default automatic...

Watch for and uncheck any pre-checked boxes - other than the one for item required. That way you avoid problems similar to your current, and all manner of other irritations too; some a true PIA to eradicate.

In Chrome, click on the Settings icon ( the 3 dots in the upper right corner) and go to More Tools, Extentions. In the upper left-hand corner, click on the hamburger icon ( the 3 horizontal lines). down at the bottom left, click on Open Chrome Web Store.

Now look for an extension called Adblock Plus. Install it and now you can block those irritating pop-ups.
