Specs: Windows 7
All of a sudden the samsung usb wireless mouse started working real slow. Any idea how to fix? The speed in the devices & printers control panel does not affect it.

✔ Best Answer
Try cleaning the optical lens on the underside of the mouse as dirty lens can cause sluggish response. I clean my mouse lens every 2 or 3 days, especially after my granddaughter has had her sticky fingers all over it!

What sort of mouse is it, wireless or corded? If wireless check the battery and/or try changing the channel.

Thanks Phil & Derek. I changed the battery and cleaned the optical lens, but it didn't help.. Great ideas though. I got pissed, so I turned off the computer, unplugged the USB plug for the mouse, turned the computer back and and reinstalled the USB. Amazingly, it worked. The speed is back up to normal and adjustable.
