how to sign onto a computer without a mouse

Specs: Windows Vista

instrutions to set up new wireless mouse requires a download, but my mouse is not
enabling me to sign onto computer. How do I sign on without the mouse? Was working
until I turned off the desktop and turned it back on. Now arrow is frozen and won't move.

That is usually a sign of something as simple as the mouse plug being slightly out of it's connection. Remove and re-plug it in and then do another hard boot. Usually fixes things

Windows sign in does not usually need a mouse, the cursor should be on your log (I have more experience with other Windows OS than Vista) in if you use a single user and you should be able to switch between users with the control button, then password and enter.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

If Richards solution fails use the keyboard.

Everything a mouse can do can be replicated on the keyboard.

Move the cursor with the Tab key, Alt Tab or Shift Tab. and backspace. Select a highlighted item with the space bar or Enter
