Specs: windows xp
I am trying to reset my dell computer to factory settings. I have saved all data and want it back to factory. I have windows xp and I think it is a bios

BIOS stands for Basic Input Output System, it is not your model number.

Press the Windows key and the R key at the same time and the Run window will open up. Type in


And hit the enter key. It will ask if you want to see your signed drivers, you can either answer yes or no to this question, it doesn't matter. The next screen is the one that will tell you your system's information. Report back on the model number.

Possibly - presuming there is Dell installed recovery partition... (not all Dimension of that period may have had one; as Dell used to provide a set of CDs... And those CDs included an actual - Dell badged usually - M$ Windows.
