HOW to repair a Dell Battery SLICE for A Latitude XT2 laptop

August 27, 2015 at 08:02:06
Specs: Linux i686)
I have a Franken DELL Latitude XT2 laptop with a 16 GB SSD running LUBUNTU[WINDOZE DOESN'T FIT the drive], and after reboot upon completion of the install, the Battery SLICE will not charge, even when I have shut down the Tablet, and plugged the 90W AC Adapter into the Slice's builtin charge port. The battery shows a 2% charge[3% in BIOS setup], but that infamous 4 flashing amber CHG LED will NOT go away. I don't have money to spend on buying another DELL SLICE and DO NOT feel this battery is already failed after 2 weeks of normal usage... There is nothing about how to repair the Battery slice anywhere so anyone who can help I would truly appreciate an Answer soon.

"failed after 2 weeks of normal usage"

If it is only two weeks old then contact the vendor and arrange for an exchange. You can't repair a battery.

These parts were bought on ebay, over a year ago, assembled after receipt 7months ago, awaiting a suitable ssd until 3 months back, ran android x86 with NO issues other than Adobe's BULLs--- FLASH problem vs. Android any version. And until I installed Lubuntu[12.04 LTS UBUNTU shell] 3weeks back something broke the battery. Therefore your reply has no official merit here...
C'mon people there has to be some way to reset the battery slice. Post up ALREADY!!!!!
