How to make usb drive bootable

Specs: Windows XP, acer aspire 1.45 gb ram
I have a windows 7 ultimate x32 bit .iso file and a 4 gb prn drive or usb drive . now how do i make it bootable so that i can install windows 7 on my hard disk .

Now the problem is that when i got to my bios boot menu
i have got 3 options for usb

1. usb-FAA
2. usb-zip
3. usb-cd-rom

how can i make my pen drive into any of these 3 so that i can install windows 7.

As far as I know from discussions here, you can't install an operating system from a pen drive. It can be made bootable for other functions. You'll need to get a usb cd/dvd player and burn your iso to a disk to do the install.

If you have an ISO copy of Win7, it's most likely a bootleg. And if that's the case, your problem can't be discussed in these forums. You questions can be answered by entering the correct search terms into google.

Now most of the time the usb actually will appear as a hard drive option and you have to do a cold power off start to bios to see it in most cases. Then select the usb hard drive above your installed hard drive.
