I have a large external drive with a number of movies and various pictures that I would like to have a typed copy of the file names to refer to w/o connecting the drive, each time. Any help appreciated. Happy Holidays!!!
As stated by StuartS the DIR command can be used to produce a list of files. You can use the /s option to do a whole partition. You may also use an extension to separate the files by type. You may not want to print all the files. My drive has several hundred thousand files.
