how to make a hard drive bootalbe

Specs: Windows XP, 3.20 MHz / 1024MB
i have a blank hard drive and windows xp setup file is there a way to put the setup files on the hard drive and make it bootable to windows xp setup mode

Why wouldn't you just install XP from a disc like it's normally done?

You do it through the disk manager unless this is a Flash Drive...

If the hard drive will not have an operating system on it, what is the purpose of making the drive bootable? I guess I am missing something.

OtheHill i have a blank hard drive and there is no cd drive in it and am putting the windows XP setup files on to it and want to make it bootable like when you put windows xp disk in ir computer you hit any key then u get into setup well that what im doing here but its all on the hard drive
