how to confirm a bad motherboard because my computer was not coming up i removed the cmos battery and the ram there was no beeping sound, the switch did'nt come up, the power fan is working and the cpu fan working also. please i need help and advice.
I assume you have at least one ram stick present and returned the battery in to it's socket? All other peripherals removed; hdd, DVD, video board etc...? Do you have a voltmeter to check if voltages from the power unit ?
Or have you changed the power unit with a known good one?Rests the CPU as last changeable component....
If nothing else works... RIP mobo.
thanks a lot it was very helpful
how to fix an onboard vga in a lap top
Hello donsimon,
If it is laptop, you should hear beeps but if it is desktop make sure you have internal speaker there, if there is a working speaker on the mobo and still you did not hear any beeps may the there is a faulty in mother board itself.
And for your onboard vga in laptop, what issue you have in that please explain us with further details about the laptop.Hardware Technician
Re # 3. Is this laptop the same computer you were asking about originally?
