Specs: Windows 7, CPU?= RAM 4.5
It's old, actually I found it cleaning out my sisters closet. Its a WD 1200bb 120gb 3.5 USB/IDE External Hardrive I guess is how you would put it.I'm new to the computer world so even bad help would be good help cause even then I'm learning what "not" to do, lol! It shows up in devices as USB/IDE but thats all. It shows properties, troubleshooting, and eject(safelyremove). When I first started it did nothing, then I took it apart and seen the jumper settings, Removed the jumper completely and thats when it connected to my pc wheew.. Sooo what now?

Are you saying it does not show as a drive letter in Windows Explorer?

The WD 1200BB is just a regular IDE drive, normally connected internally. If yours is set up as an external then it must have been put in an external USB box or you've connected it through an IDE/USB adapter.

But in any event, if it's recognized you can take a look at its contents by opening it from 'my computer'. If you want to format and used it for storage yourself here's some info on doing that:
