It may be difficult to do. Dos never did have native usb support. There have been some hacks and good work to get some of it to work but you need to adapt a usb to lpt.

I'd think maybe freedos may work but don't know for sure.

A VM on a supported OS should be able to use it.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?

Or you can install a real parallel port. Can be found for around $25.

XP doesn't have a Dos mode.

If you're trying to get a Dos program to print in XP, or if you're dual booting XP and an older operating system, if this is a desktop computer, you probably need to buy a PCI parallel port card. Don't plug it into the last PCI slot, of the PCI slots, closest to the center of the mboard - that slot will only work properly with PCI video cards.

As I recall you may have to use net use to some other hack to get it to work even. It is not a simple deal.
