how do you install the hard drive on a packard bell 133mhz machine? What cables go to the hard drive. It was removed when i aquirerd the old school beast. but I love to tinker with electronics and just getting my hands wet with computers.

Clarify if the hard drive and cable are missing or just the cable.

Possible that the old 133Mhz unit may have a controller card with proprietary cabling. Hopefully all you need is an IDE cable. Definitely won't be SATA.

Post the full model number of the computer or if you can see any numbers on the main board post those.

The other issue may be hard drive capacity limits on a computer that old. You may need to stay in the MB size range, like 40MB or 80MB. In short, we need more information before we can provide you with the correct info.

The bios on a P-133 can probably accomodate a hard drive up to about 8 gig but as already mentioned, you'd need to check specs for your particular model.
