how to insert sandisk card into my hard drive? I have a 2 year old hard drive but cant find the slot to insert the sandisk adaptor containing the 16GB sandisk chip.
I don't understand what you are trying to do. Memory cards are usually inserted into a card reader which is in turn inserted into a USB slot. I have never seen a hard with with a slot to insert anything as generally hard drives are sealed units. Stuart
I wonder if the newsh is referring to an external hard drive? Possibly some more recent models have a slot for Sandisk type cards too, although I've not seen one such... There are some hd docks that allow that option, but an actual external drive in its own case, not sure about that...
What's the model number of the drive or its assembly? If it's something like this: http://www.cnet.com/products/sandis...
the SD card slot should be obvious or maybe something you'd need to consult the manual for.
However, the typical external drive doesn't have an SD slot so whether yours has one is going to depend on exactly what kind of drive it is.

I used to have this work mate who insisted on referring to the computer (case with contents) as "hard drive". Could this be the case (no pun intended) here? Nigel

Could be the case in the same way that people insist on referring to the computer as a CPU. Stuart
