Specs: Windows XP Service Pack 3, AMD Sempron(tm) Processor/993 MHz,224 MB of RAM
I bought a sandisk mp3 player(model:JIE LI CD 00-2)with a micro sd card in it.this month it suddenly cannot be used.when i put it in my computers usb drive it does not auto play and when i click on it it says it needs to be formatted so when i choose to format it it says windows cannot complete format.ive tried using partition magic software to try clearing it and chnging the driver letter but nothing,do i have to buy a new card?i already tried the computer management method of wiping it and no go.

I love my old, slow desktop PC but sometimes i get 'jelly' of my bros fancy Windows 7 laptop...

Buy a new card, the one you have now has corrupt memory chips and can't be fixed.
Always keep spare cards handy so you aren't left stuck if one fails.

Look at the listing for the card in Windows Disk Management. Post all the information listed there for that card.

You could try to delete the partition and then create a new partition and format that partition. The card may also have failed, in which case it needs replacing. Flash drives and memory cards can only be rewritten to a finite number of times.
