Out of range error means that you are trying to put the TV into a resolution that it cannot support. Nothing to do with cables.

You need to configure the video source to a resolution that the TV can support.

Try booting into Windows Safe Mode and setting the native resolution for your plasma TV.

Thanks for your answer.
How do I configure the video source?

This TV is not connected to Windows so there is no 'safe mode' that I can see.

So what is the TV connected to?

Unless you provide some basic information no one can give you an answer..

The TV is connected to a cable box. Also in the mix is an Apple Time Machine that connects us to the internet.

We've had the set-up for a couple years with no problems.

I suspect that moving furniture around last week we accidentally disconnected a cord, or changed a setting.

I am guessing that you can press the menu key on the TV remote and get to the settings menu.

Post the model number for additional help. The native resolutions are all over the board for that brand.
