how to fix laptop half screen problem

Specs: Windows 64
Top half of computer display is "normal. Bottom half is taking up too much space. How can that space be reduced?

Need more info. What is the model number of your laptop?

There is no Windows 64. There are 64 bit versions of XP, 7, 8, 10. So what do you have.

did this just happen?

Did you just install Windows or updates?

BTW, I don't think the top is "normal". Not sure what you describe is possible.

Try right clicking an empty part of your home screen an choose screen resolution. Post back what you see.

If you can put a screen shot on an upload website it would help us - camera photo maybe.
