How to fix a gate way PC that is stuck on gateway screen

OK I just had this issue very easy to fix when bios starts it is having a brain fart and need to be reset to factory default. so step 1 make sure power is disabled and find the CMOS Battery .2 Remove battery 3 Look for CMOS jumper plug mine is red small square shaped plug that jumps 2 pins out of the 3 pins at that location .4 Look close before you remove the plug as to what pin is exposed then remove plug and replace it so it cover the center pin and the one that was exposed .That will drain out any power left in the unit and reset bios.5 wait about 5 minutes ( maybe less but don't push it ) Then Put the jumper plug back into its normal position. After that simply add power source and boot should be fixed . also you might want to replace the CMOS battery if problem comes back
