I was trying to work on a Evesham supplied computer running Windows XP professional SP3 as I could not connect to the Internet via a wireless USB dongle. Internet Explorer was working fine wirelessly then suddenly stopped working. Looking in Netwirk connections the wireless connection was recognised and enabled. I wanted to look at the BIOS but on switching on, after the RAM count the BIOS disappeared and Windows XP started to load. I have never not been able to access the BIOS on any other computer.Any ideas please on how I can overcome this? An Intel screen momentorily appears after the RAM count before XP loads. XP functions well except for inability to connect to the Internet.
Thank you for reply. I did this .I pressed pause key during RAM count. It paused with no further key info displayed on how to enter BIOS, then pressed it again and immediately got an Intel screen I've never seen before quickly followed by XP loading. This is a real puzzle. I suspect something that Evesham did when they installed the programs prior to sale - but they went bust!
