How to detect again my usb stick

Specs: Windows 7, 6GB
I have a usb stick that sudently my device manager does not detect it. I can see that it recieves energy supply but thats it.No detection in my device manager even as unknown device.
Tried on other PC with no results. Can anyone help even if formating it in the process is the only solution .My usb stick is a Western Digital 6 GB

If it doesn't even show up in device manager, then Windows isn't going to see it and you won't be able to format it. It's probably a gonner since two different computers can't see it.

Before throwing it away try a recovery program such as Recuva. You may have damaged it by not using 'Safely Remove Hardware".

Recuva isn't going to work if it isn't showing up in device manager.
