my usb ports are not working,I wanted to flash my BIOS using a floppy disk but i realized my floppy drive can't detect any floppy disk in it.so i was wondering if i can us an extra hard disk to flash my BIOS.
SPECS OF PC or laptop????? Work the problem, not ADD to it. If your USB ports suddenly stopped working, why would a BIOS update fix that? If the BIOS was fine before, why would it cause USB ports to stop working now? That doesn't happen - if a BIOS stopped working or became corrupt, nothing would work and the PC wouldn't even boot. You need to troubleshoot the problem - that being USB:

Just another stupid saying...
Yeah, you can make a hard drive bootable with dos system files and then do a bios upgrade. But to make it bootable you normally need a working floppy drive to start off with--which you don't have. And as already mentioned, it's unlikely a bios upgrade will fix your USB ports. This space for rent
