|Easy, the hard drive has nothing to do with the bios. If linux loads up ok, but you have these problems it is likely an O/S problem. If you have read that a bios update will fix this particular problem, you can download the bios update if there is one from lenovo's support for your model. Rarely is upgrading the bios recommended because if anything goes wrong with the upgrade, you may end up with an unbootable, and expensive paper weight. However as I say if you are sure you flashing the bios is the solution for you, put it on a jump drive and during the flashing process, direct the bios to the file on your usb drive, make sure you have extracted the file ahead of time if it is compressed/zipped.|
