Solved how to clean Epson 620 ink chip contacts

Specs: Macintosh
Epson 620 reports that new black ink cartridges are empty and will not print until replaced. I want to clean the chip contacts in case that is the problem.

Use cotton buds slightly dampened with denatured alcohol (methylated spirit).

However, it could be that the new cartridge is a third-party "compatible" that's not a genuine Epson one.
If that's the case, you'll need to buy a genuine Epson cartridge and stop buying compatibles.

Not only clean the contacts on the cartridge but where they contact inside the printer. Cotton buds = T-Tips for the popular name (and brand) in the USA.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
