Exactly what is the noise; can you describe it more clearly?

Does it make "the noise" when the laptop is off but charging?

When you hear the noise is it possible to localise where it's coming from; as which part of the laptop?

What is the make and model of your laptop?

The best - really the only - way to charge a laptop is to use the charger supplied by the manufacturer.

It's not uncommon for electronic equipment to make humming or wooshing noises in use. My Microsoft SurfaceBook (worst purchase I ever made!) has a tendency to make a whooshing when charging. It's the fan running at full speed for some reason - unplugging the charger and plugging it in again usually stops it.

(Don't get me started on the subject of the SurfaceBook - I could go on all day about how bad it is.)

If the noise is the fan then it is to prevent heat build up because charging usually heats up the battery as well as the charger.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

It is like fan I think. I suppose the laptop tries to cool itself while charger plugged in
