this is the error when i replace my new HDD.. i have no CD Drive. what is the possible answer of this...
More info is required.... - is it a SATA or IDE HDD?
- if it's IDE, did you set the master/slave jumper correctly?
- are you sure it's plugged into the correct port on the motherboard?
- are you sure the plugs are fully seated at the board & HDD?
- did you try a different cable?

Some really really old IDE drives weren't atapi compatible but I doubt you're installing a 40 meg drive on a windows 7 PC. Likely as already mentioned, it's not setup correctly or there's some other incompatibility.
