When you're getting the message "ACPI not compatible", you're getting a message from an operating system, that's either on a CD or DVD disk you're booting from, or your hard drive is booting and it's coming from the Windows installation on the hard drive. .

We need

- the model of your computer.

- the details of what you are trying to do.

- the exact error message you're getting and the description of under what circumstances you get it.

If your IBM model is really old, you may need to install XP a special way that will not enable ACPI support, or install an older operating system a special way that will not enable ACPI support.
