|Desktop or laptop? Was anything spilled on the KB? If this is a laptop, was the laptop dropped or damaged in any way? |
If this is a desktop, try tilting the KB on its side and spraying compressed air UNDER the keys to see if you get any debris out from underneath the KB.
I'm assuming this is a laptop - if yes - try tilting the laptop on its side and spraying compressed air UNDER the keys to see if you get any debris out from underneath the KB.
If that doesn't work, try pulling the KB laptop ribbon cable and reseating it in its slot (consult your computer documentation for that since you did not enclose your exact make & model of computer).
If none of that works, you can test your KB with the Dell Diagnostics that came with your Dell Drivers & Utilities CD. If you don't have that, you can D/L the Dell diagnostics from their website to make a bootable CD or a set of floppy disks to test your hardware.
MOOOOooove! OH and you're welcome!
