Follow these troubleshooting steps. If all else fails you may need to get the printer serviced.

Try touching the screen and/or pressing the power button.

ijack,

The power botton has been on. Tried touching the blank screen and nothing happened.
Thanks though.

I don't think it is touch screen. Next to the screen are a number of icons that are actually buttons. press one of those buttons to start the scan or wake up the printer.

sluc,
The screen is off and there are no icons. So, i cannot press any icon to start the scan or wake up the printer. When the screen is on, as in the past, there are icons which I used to do the job I want - copy, scan, etc.
The screen control panel only shows the power botton on the upper left of the panel which is on and lighted.

My brother had a similar problem. He needed to take out the AC plug. Then he was able to use the printer again. After a setup check we disabled the auto-power-off feature and that was the solution.

I already turned the printer off and unplug the AC, then replug the AC and turn on the printer. I have not done the setup check to disable the auto-power-off feature. BUT, what are the steps how to go to the setup check so I can make the adjustment?

ijack,

Still want to know how to do the SETUP Check so I can disabled the AUTO Power. Anyway, FYI the HP Customer Agent said that HP does not have a Repair Shop or any authorized Repair Shop he can tell me to take a look at the Printer Control Panel

Besides, he said it will just cost me to bring the HP for repair the Control Panel if in fact it still can be serviced for repair. In other words, go buy a new HP printer. .
