i originally forgot my bios password that i had set before going to bootcamp upon my return i realized i forgot my bios password. after doing some research i found that pulling the bios battery out will reset bios password. but now when i turn the laptop on it asks for SATA PORT 0 HDD PASSWORD. i can hit f2 and change passwords but before i can put new password i need to verify old password.. is there a master password or do you possibaly have some info on how to recover or by pass hdd password. THANK YOU. Any help will be greatly appreciated
Removing the CMOS battery will not reset a password on a laptop. A laptop HD password is stored in the drive in a location that cannot be accessed by normal software. There is no master password. You will have to contact the manufacturer and be able to prove ownership.
