Hello,
This week I got new computer (it is an HP EliteBook 8470p), and I need to replace the palm rest. I'm having a hard time getting anything off. Removing all the screws isn't working for me.
Watching videos on how to get it off didn't help me either.
If I could get specific instructions on how to remove the palm rest so that I could put the new one on, that would be greatly appreciated.

Just so you know, If it's a new system, it will be covered under Warranty. If you start taking it apart, you will void that Warranty.

What video did you watch? Did you remove the battery, back cover, screws, optical drive, keyboard, HDD, etc?

Here is the service manual for your PC. Follow the directions very specifically as to not ruin anything else. Get an anti-static mat and the "Correct Tools" before you attempt your replacement.
