Solved How do I paste a file to My computer on vista

Specs: Windows Vista
I am trying to copy and past a file from shortcut to 'My Computer'

After I have clicked 'copy' and move to ' Computer' then right click my mouse 'Paste' is not highlighted. therefore I cannot paste the file back into 'Computer'

I have a laptop with Windows Vista.

My computer is not a folder, it is just a title heading. you cannot past anything into there. You need to navigate to a folder or some other location that does contain files.

If you are taking about the list of recently and often used programs above the 'All Programs', then no, you cannot put a shortcut there, but if it is a program and you use it often, then it will be put there for you. You CAN put shortcuts on your desktop or in a folder on your desktop (if you like a neat desktop) that can contain links for your often used programs.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
