how do i make a bigger recovery partition

Specs: Windows Vista, 6Gb ddr2 sdram at 800MHz
I cant defrag the recovery disk because there is no room.

You should not defrag the recovery disk or modify it in any way. It is used exclusively to restore the system to factory settings. If modified the system recovery may fail.

The above information is correct. If you need to have a restore file that includes the latest service packs and updates then you need to create your own backup disk/s or a backup file located elsewhere.
