how do i install a motherboard and possibly a cpu in an hp16

Specs: Windows XP, Anthalon 5500? / 2GB
PC doesnt powerup,told fan(missing 1 blade)caused motherboard to burnout,also could need a new CPU. Power supply and battery OK as is hard drive.

A fan with a missing blade will destroy itself in a very short space of time. However, that should not destroy the motherboard and CPU. As soon as the CPU begins to overheat because of the damaged fan it will switch itself off making it look as if the motherboard is damaged. No fan, no start-up!

I would replace the fan first and see if that solves the problem. If the motherboard and CPU is destroyed it would be more cost effective to buy a new computer.

Thank you Stuart, will replace fan, seems to be most cost effective way to try and power it up.
