How do I change the pixels?

Specs: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic, 2.166 GHz / 1978 MB
ok im trying to put a picture on a website of my puppies it says the pixels need to be less than 300! How do ichange that? In my scanner or what i have no clue?!

You would do this through your scanner software. Look for setup options ... sounds like you need to use settings at less than 300 dpi.

You need a photo editing application. Most will allow you to reduce the pixel count of an image.

There is a few hear you can chose from:

Don't do it through a scanner. DPI and pixels are completely different and if the photograph was take with a digital camera a scanner doesn't come into it.

Wel after you have scanned the picture go to your photo editing programs like addobe photoshop. Then just resized the picture. Don't forget to save them as JPEG or JPG. The pictures that is.
