Solved How do i change the input timing?

Specs: Windows
I need to change the input timing to 1280×1014@60hz to connect my ps3 to it. The only problem is that my compuer isnt working so i dont really know where to change it from, the ps or the monitor. And how do i proceed then?

Is the PS3 connected directly to the monitor? How did you connect it? The monitor has an optimal native screen resolution. "1280×1014@60hz" is likely a typo & should be 1280x1024; are you saying that's the monitor's native resolution?

A monitor's internal circuitry should detect and display any signal it's compatible with. If both your PS3 and monitor are working then either your monitor isn't compatible or there's some connection problem.

Post back the monitor model you're using and recheck the resolution and frequency requirements as riider suggests.

Reboot your PC (hold the power button down for 10+ seconds, if need be)
Continue tapping the F8 key until you reach the boot diagnostics menu.
Select Enable VGA Mode.
