Specs: Windows XP
I have recently bought an Acer Aspire one netbook which is very handy for me except that it is a lot slower than my laptop. Would adding extra RAM stick be helpful? If yest what kind would be good? By the way, I am not computer professional but just a user. So, answer has to be for a pedestrian in order for me to understand it thoroughly!! Thanks!

From Acer website

System memory

* Single-channel DDR2 SDRAM support with one soDIMM module (for model with Intel® Atom™ processor N450 only) Up to 1 GB of DDR2 system memory (for Windows® 7 Starter for small notebook PCs) Up to 2 GB of DDR2 system memory (for other operating systems)

From my reading of this you cannot add an extra stick of ram. If your system has only 1gb you may be able to replace it with a suitable 2gb sodimm module.

✔ Best Answer
Apparently there are two versions of the D260...one uses DDR2 memory, the other uses DDR3 memory. Both only have one memory slot with a max capacity of 2GB.
