How can I access Drive D documents

March 15, 2011 at 15:30:01
Specs: Windows Vista
The computer repair lost all emails, pictures and documents in Drive C and when I got it back I just started using it and now have most email addresses back. I realized I should have used the recovery feature when I first got it back which was about 6 months ago. I now have lots of new documents in Drive C and same for pictures and don't want to lose them. I cannot find a way that I can import the old documents and photos, etc from Drive D without using the recovery feature which I assume would cause me to lose the new things in my Drive C. Is there a way I can access my things on Drive D and import them into Drive C?

Why can't you access them? Do you get a message about access denied? If not, just copy and paste or leave them where they are and access from there.

You MAY need to take ownership of the files/folders.

Look at the link below. The second choice should be the one you need.
