Solved Hitachi HDD 40-pin Data Connector

Specs: Windows 8, AMD Phenom-X4 9650 / 8GB
My new computer (HP p6142p) uses the new type of data cable connectors (sata?) - is there some sort of "docking bay" the 40-pin Hitachi HDD could be plugged into and the output cable from the docking bay be the USB to sata connector...? I've searched on the Intenet, but it seems the only "docking bay" available is for sata type HDDs...

Pardon the "newbie" question here, but I've always been told the only "dumb question" is the one not asked... :-)

Thanks in advance for any light you all can shed on this...!

I understand you need to connect an old 40-pin IDE drive to your PC?
Docking bays and enclosures (which both connect to a USB port) do exist for IDE drives.

Dual IDE or SATA docking bay:

Google Search will turn up many more examples.

It's not a new computer, phenom x4 came out 6 years ago.
U need a enclosure like this one
If u wish to keep your PATA hard drive inside u gonna need PCI or PCIe IDE card like this one
