Specs: Windows XP
Hi, I am trying to get a EPSON TM-E88iii printer to print from my PC (windows XP SP2).
The printer has a centronic port/cable with a male connector on the other end. I believed this is a parallel interface and thus have connect the male side to my PC female parallel port interface.
I download and installed the driver of this printer from EPSON. The printer shows up on the Printer & Faxes page with "No Available" status. When sent a test page, it will just queue up and nothing happen.
I have also make sure the dipswitch #2-1 is on for full buffer pooling before printer, as specified in the installation guide from EPSON.
The printer has green light and when press the feed button, the paper rolls. I am quick sure the printer is working fine.
Do you know what could be wrong on my setup?

If it is a T88 it has a choice of interfaces:

Bi-directional parallel
10 Base-T I/F AS / NZS 3548 class B

So it is important to identify which one rather than guessing........

ARM Devices the future. Windows have accepted the fact!
