|So yesterday my mom's computer stopped booting and she got a Primary Master HD Error. She took the computer to best buy, they installed a new hard drive, and I came over later and reinstalled OS and everything she uses. Everything installed fine and was up and running last night.|
This morning, she got the same error - Primary Master HD Error.
I swapped out IDE cables. Same error.
I plugged the HD into the SATA 2 instead of SATA1 spot, got Secondary Master HD error instead of primary.
As the new hard drive is brand new, and the cable isnt the issue, does this leave only the motherboard or are their potentially other things for me to check? Any ideas?
Thanks for the help.
