I have an old ibm thinkpad 600 I put a supervisor password on it and now I want to take it off. But I'm getting error codes such as 161 and 163, I bought a cmos battery online for it but it shows the same error codes. What do I do ?
Before I got the password set it used to say test and and restart as the options on the error code. So I am trying to get to the bios through the error code's options because even if I press F1 it still leads me to the power on password after that it show the error code and then I have to restart because it shows the error code and an arrow pointing to a book.
