|It is hard to tell for sure,| especially since you have not specified what machine you have or even if it is a desktop or a laptop. Possibilities include:
If it is a desktop, the power supply has been going for a while and is now not putting out proper voltage on one or more rails (highly likely).
Bad memory or tarnished contacts (less likely but remove memory, clean contacts with soft clean pencil eraser, then pop in and out 4 or 5 times to burnish contacts).
Others depending on any other warning signs you may have ignored over time.
