Help, my PC stops at verifying dmi pool data

Specs: Windows 7
it is a ati nf7 motherboard about 6-7 yrs old, has phoenix award bios 6.00pg

it is running with 2, 80gig samsung sata hard drives that are raid mirrored,

they run off the motherboard not a add on raid controller card,

during restart is shows
sil 3112 sataraid bios ver 4.2.50

while continuing loading it shows
SIL mirrored set
0-samsung sp0812c 74gb
1 samsung spo812c 74

i finally caught this the screen (machine will not stop w/ scrn lock or pause)
, but it said
raid set 1 in rebuild status
the rebuild will cmplete after boot sequence,

it did this after I disconnected one of the raid drives as I will told to try that first which did nothing at all
then is shows drives screen so quick I can't read it,
then shows the pci listings which there are many

then verifying DMI pool data and stops unless I turn the boot to CD back on,

then it will try to boot from cd

I can not even get the machine to boot up to a windows xp pro CD, it will

only let me try to install XP when trying to boot from cd

how can I get the information off the hard drives? or find a way to use the

hard drives on another motherboard?

First I would get a live cd...they are free. Then boot off of it and check the boot.ini file on C: Hirans live cd has a means to edit the ini file and fix a missing boot mgr ntld.

You could put in a second hd as a slave and once hirens boots copy over files you need.

I wonder though if c: is being seen by the bios. Have you run setup yet? Could be nothing more than a loose ribbon cable. This might be the first thing to check out
